Introduction: Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a mental health condition characterized by an obsessive focus on perceived flaws or defects in physical appearance, which are often unnoticeable to others. This study aims to investigate the effects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on distress tolerance, interpersonal sensitivity, and depression among students diagnosed with BDD.
Method: This study used a semi-experimental, pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population consisted of students diagnosed with BDD at the University of Ardabil during the 2023-2024 academic year. Thirty-six students with BDD were selected through purposive sampling and divided into experimental (n=18) and control (n=18) groups. The experimental group participated in eight 90-minute ACT sessions, while the control group received no intervention. Data collection involved questionnaires on BDD, distress tolerance, interpersonal sensitivity, and depression. The data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance in SPSS-24.
Results: Findings indicated that ACT significantly increased tolerance (F=41.72), attraction (F=34.73), assessment (F=44.43), and regulation (F=29.40) while reducing interpersonal sensitivity (F=67.65) and depression (F=51.58) in students with BDD.
Conclusion: These results underscore the potential of ACT as a valuable therapeutic approach for individuals with BDD, particularly within the college student population.

Introduction: Domestic violence significantly impacts women's psychological well-being. This research explored the effectiveness of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in reducing anxiety, marital burnout, and feelings of self-disgust among women who have experienced domestic violence.
Method: In this study, a quasi-experimental design with a control group was employed. Thirty women who had experienced domestic violence by their husbands and sought help at a psychological services center in Zanjan, Iran, were randomly assigned to either the experimental group receiving EMDR or the control group. Following the completion of the therapy sessions, all participants in both groups once again completed the same questionnaires to evaluate potential changes.
Results: Multivariate analysis of covariance revealed that EMDR therapy significantly reduced anxiety, marital burnout, and self-disgust in the experimental group compared to the control group.
Conclusion: These findings suggest that EMDR therapy may be a beneficial tool for reducing the psychological distress experienced by women who have endured domestic violence.

Introduction: The present study aimed to investigate the mediating role of coping skills in the relationship between victimization, cyberbullying, and suicidal ideation in adolescents. This descriptive-correlation study employed structural equation modeling.
Method: The study method falls under descriptive and correlative research. The statistical population included all the teenagers living in Bandar Abbas, Iran in 2023-2024. 300 of them were selected via the convenience sampling method. We collected data using the Beck Suicidal Ideation Questionnaire (BSSI), the Lazarus and Folkman Coping Skills Scale (CSQ), and the Cyberbullying/Victim Scale (CBVEQ). The data was analyzed using SPSS 23 and AMOS software.
Results: Structural equation modeling showed that coping skills, victimization, and cyberbullying, directly and indirectly, affect suicidal ideation in adolescents. The evaluation of the hypothetical research model using fit indices revealed a good fit between the model and the measurement (CFI = 0.98, NFI = 0.99, RMSEA = 0.055). The results of this research align with the dual control model, demonstrating that coping skills influence suicidal thoughts.
Conclusion: These findings underscore the importance of both the victim and cyberbullying, in addition to an individual's coping skills for suicidal thoughts.

Introduction: Marital conflict is often linked with anxiety, and perfectionism within couples (Dyadic Perfectionism) can worsen it. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Cognitive-Behavioral Family Therapy (CBFT) in addressing both dyadic perfectionism and anxiety among couples experiencing marital conflict.
Method: A quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test with a 45-day follow-up was employed. The population consisted of all couples seeking divorce in Ahvaz, Iran, aged between 20 and 45, who visited psychological centers in 2023. For this purpose, a convenient sample of 30 participants was selected. Participants completed the Dyadic Almost Perfect Scale (DAPS) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) at pre-test, post-test, and follow-up assessments. The couples in the experimental group received 12 weekly 60-minute CBFT sessions. Data analysis was conducted using repeated-measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) in the SPSS-27 software.
Results: Findings demonstrated a significant difference (P<0.001) between pre-test and post-test scores for the dyadic perfectionism (discrepancy) subscale. Similar significant differences were found between the pre-test and both post-test and follow-up scores for the dyadic perfectionism (high standards) subscale and anxiety (P<0.001).
Conclusion: According to the findings, it can be stated that CBFT demonstrates promise as an effective intervention for addressing dyadic perfectionism and anxiety in couples experiencing marital conflict.

Introduction: The aim of the present study was to develop and validate a virtual reality software package and to investigate its effect on the obsessive and depressive symptoms of women with washing compulsion.
Method: The present study consisted of two phases. The research method of the first phase was validation. At this stage, five psychology and virtual reality experts were selected purposefully, and the Cohen's kappa coefficient (κ) was analyzed in the software review. In the second phase, a quasi-experimental study on 22 women suffering from washing compulsion in Isfahan in 2022 which were selected by available sampling were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups, of whom seven remained in each group. The instruments namely the Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS) and the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) were completed in the pre-test, post-test and one month follow-up and their results were analyzed using SPSS 27 software using the multivariate covariance method.
Results: The content validity coefficient of the package was calculated as 0.9. The results of the second phase showed that the package was effective in reducing the obsessive symptoms of patients (P<0.05) and its effect continued over time (P<0.05); however, it was not useful in reducing the depression scores (P<0.05).
Conclusion: This method because of its ability to induce anxiety and its generalizability to real-world settings increases commitment to treatment and can be used to strengthen the impact of the exposure method for treatment of obsessive-compulsive patients.

Background: Taking care of a disabled child could have an impact on the mental well-being of a parent. This study aims to evaluate the Group Attachment-Based Intervention (GABI) and parenting skills sessions on the adjustment and resilience of parents with a disabled child.
Method: This study was a semi-experimental design utilizing a pre-test-post-test and follow-up plan (two months later) with both control and experimental groups. The statistical population consisted of all parents (both fathers and mothers) with a disabled child in Tehran in 2023 who had a record in the welfare rehabilitation unit of Tehran. "Out of the group, 45 individuals were chosen as a representative sample through purposeful sampling techniques." The participants were then randomly divided into three groups, with 15 individuals in each group. Data was collected using the Social Adjustment Questionnaire (SAQ) and the Connor-Davidson Resilience scale (CD-RISC). The data collected were analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis H tests, repeated measures ANCOVA, and Bonferroni's post hoc test in SPSS software version 27 and JASP software version 18.1.0, with a p-value set at 0.05.
Results: According to the research findings, the home adjustment variable in the GABI showed a significant difference from the control group at all stages (p<0.001), indicating the impact of the GABI approach on increasing home adjustment. Similarly, the variable of home adjustment in the group that received Parenting skills sessions showed a significant difference compared to the control group in all stages (p<0.001). The GABI component also displayed a significant difference in job adjustment compared to the control group during the follow-up phase (p<0.001), and the group that received parenting skills sessions also exhibited a significant difference in job adjustment from the control group during the follow-up phase (p<0.001). A considerable discrepancy in resilience levels was noted between the groups that participated in the GABI and parenting skills sessions and the control group, with the former showing improvement (P<0.001). However, there was no significant difference between the experimental groups themselves.
Conclusion: The current study revealed that while there are challenges in raising disabled children, parents can enhance their resilience and adjustment through GABI and improving parenting skills. The results of the study suggest the need to enhance counseling and support services for families with disabled children based on these findings.

Introduction: The present study compared the effectiveness of self-healing therapy and emotional schema therapy on health locus of control, pain self-efficacy, and positive meta-emotion in women with breast cancer.
Method: This research was an applied study following a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest-control group design. The statistical population consisted of all female clients medically and clinically diagnosed with breast cancer in the healthcare centers of Tehran in 2022-2023. A total of 45 individuals with definite breast cancer detection were selected by convenience sampling and assigned into three groups randomly. The research instruments were Nickolas’, Pain Self-efficacy questionnaire, Walston et al.’s, Health Locus of Control Scale, and Mitmansgruber et al.’s meta-emotion questionnaire. The two experimental groups were intervened constantly and weekly, while the control group received no intervention. The research data were analyzed by the multivariate analysis of covariance and post hoc tests run in the SPSS 26 software.
Results: Findings revealed that self-healing training and emotional schema therapy influenced the health locus of control, pain self-efficacy, and positive meta-emotion of women with breast cancer. Likewise, the findings revealed a significant difference between the effectiveness of the two interventions on health locus of control and pain self-efficacy.
Conclusion: In line with the outcomes of the research, it can be concluded that the therapeutic function of the mentioned interventions provides researchers with state-of-the-art strategies to expand knowledge, research, and treatment boundaries when facing psychological disorders in women with breast cancer.

Introduction: This research examines the variables of psychiatric morbidity, social support, and coping strategies among Fibromyalgia (FM) patients and explores the relationships across study variables and aims to find potential disparities across age, socioeconomic status, and illness duration between these study variables.
Method: This descriptive correlational study was conducted on FM patients (30 patients), aged 30 to 60 years, recruited through convenience sampling from hospitals in the Ernakulam district of Kerala in 2020. Psychiatric morbidity was measured using the Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ), social support was assessed by the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and coping by the Brief COPE Scale.
Results: The study showed moderate psychiatric morbidity and inadequate social support among FM patients, with a negative association (p<.01). Psychiatric morbidity had a negative correlation with adaptive coping strategies (p<.01) and a positive correlation with self-blame (p<0.05). Adaptive coping strategies were positively linked to social support (p<0.01). Furthermore, behavioral disengagement coping differed significantly among FM patients of different ages.
Conclusion: Psychiatric morbidity is associated with minimal social support and non-adaptive coping among FM patients. This study underscores the need for culturally specific treatment approaches that address social support and coping strategies.
