Participants completed social problem-solving skills, spiritual intelligence, and marital satisfaction questionnaires. Data analysis was done using a multiple regression test.Results: Results showed that a positive problem-solving orientation along with, a spiritual lifestyle relying on the inner core, and rational problem solving could directly predict life satisfaction in couples. In men, marital satisfaction was predicted by positive problem-solving orientation and a rational problem solving style. In women, however, marital satisfaction was predicted by positive problem-solving orientation and spiritual lifestyle relying on the inner core. A negative problem-solving orientation could negatively predict marital satisfaction in women.Conclusion: These results revealed that a positive problem solving orientation had the amount of contribution to the prediction of marital satisfaction in couples. Also marital highest satisfaction was differently predicted by social problem solving and spiritual intelligence among men and women.
