The present study was an attempt to examine the effectiveness of mindfulness training in improving the psychological symptoms in veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder .Method: It was an experimental study with pretest-posttest design including a control group. This study was carried out in 2012 in Isfahan Shahid Rajai Hospital. The available twenty-eight male veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Data were collected using Brief Symptoms Inventory of Dura et al.Results: Results indicated that average score for psychological symptoms and its dimensions (anxiety, depression & somatization) significantly improved in the treatment group in both post-test and the follow-up.Conclusion: The Results supported the effectiveness of mindfulness training in improving the psychological symptoms in veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and have important implications for the role of mindfulness-based therapies in reducing the psychological symptoms in veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.}, keywords = {Mindfulness,psychological symptoms,Veterans,Post Traumatic Stress Disorder}, url = {https://www.behavsci.ir/article_67813.html}, eprint = {https://www.behavsci.ir/article_67813_8bdb9faf6b1e55b8da5971758fdfeb4b.pdf} }
